Toyota Can’t Be Trusted

BETTER WORLD GROUP . LOS ANGELES . SPRING 2020

This public relations and marketing campaign aimed to educate consumers to realize which car companies joined the Trump administrations lawsuit to rollback California’s automobile clean air emission standards. We created engaging visual content for the website www.toyotacantbetrusted.com which not only raised awareness but gave examples of simple actions community members and organizations could take in support the campaign.

No Drilling Where We’re Living

SIERRA CLUB . LOS ANGELES . SUMMER 2019

The goal of this multifaceted campaign is to shutdown Inglewood Oil Field, the largest urban oil field in the US. We created multilingual educational pamphlets and postcards to be sent to government officials demanding a 2,500-ft buffer zone between homes and oil wells.

In August 2020 the Culver City city council voted unanimously in favor of a plan to end all oil extraction and to create a just transition to a site that provides community benefit. It is a crtical step needed to phase out oil drilling in the city’s 78-acre portion of the Inglewood Oil Field which could begin as early as January 2021.
